I am a Portuguese, born and lived in Africa for 17 years, and so as Portuguese I represent a mixture of different cultures. As a psychologist I nurture a passion for children, child development, children’s rights and particularly young children, which in my path lead me to EURLYAID and EURLYAID’s principles and Mission. “But the best thing in the world are children,” by Fernando Pessoa.

As a board member of Eurlyaid, I work to strengthen Early Childhood Intervention as a family-centered and evidence-based system across Europe. My perspective comes from working as a university professor, practitioner, and international consultant, with extensive experience in education, supervision, and systemic family-oriented approaches, always focused on real-life contexts, everyday learning, and partnerships with families. For me, Eurlyaid is a community where shared values, trust, and collaboration help turn knowledge into meaningful change for children and their families across diverse contexts.

Coming from the business world I was leading a ECI Center for many years, ECI captivated me personally, when I was getting in touch with disabled children and I understood the importance of this important activity. Eurlyaid’s knowledge-based message about family-centered early intervention is identical to my lived experience in this field, and I want to be a part of it.

My name is Ena. I am originally Italian and live in Norway. I have dreams of a world where everyone, regardless of function, is valued. A world that sees potential in everyone, everywhere. Inclusion, video-analysis and challenge in feeding are mine area of interest. I work with children who express what’s in their hearts through their bodies. For me is Eurlyaid is not just professional development but above all an opportunity to develop myself as a warm, skilled professional. Encountering people from various countries broadens my horizons. It’s refreshing to see beyond my own pond.
